# Overview

> Signals show activity from target companies and buyers across your GTM motion, helping your team see what is happening and where to act next.

1eyeᴬᴵ captures signals from website activity, ICP matches, and persona matches, giving your team a live view of who's active and worth engaging. Two more signal sources — Market Signals and Social Signals — are coming soon.

Use Signals to review activity, evaluate fit, filter with a flexible query builder, export data, and move the right contacts into target lists.

## Signal categories

1eyeᴬᴵ organizes signals into a few core categories.

| Signal category | What it shows |
| ---------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Website Signals | Activity from your website — page visits, tracked forms, and Target Page matches. |
| Market Signals — Coming Soon | Market-level intent signals. |
| Social Signals — Coming Soon | Activity from social platforms. |
| ICP Signals | Companies 1eyeᴬᴵ evaluates as matching your ICPs. |
| Persona Signals | Contacts 1eyeᴬᴵ evaluates as matching your personas. |

## How Signals work

Signals connect activity with fit.

1. **Activity happens** — A contact visits a page, submits a tracked form, or generates another website signal.
2. **1eyeᴬᴵ identifies the contact** — When available, 1eyeᴬᴵ identifies the contact and links them to their company.
3. **1eyeᴬᴵ evaluates fit** — The contact's company is evaluated against your ICPs. The contact is evaluated against your personas.
4. **Signals appear in Website Signals** — Your team reviews activity in one contact-centric feed, with company context built into every card.
5. **Your team acts** — Use signals to build target lists, enrich contacts, or push target lists to a Destination.

## Website Signals

Use Website Signals to see contact-level activity, with the associated company shown directly on each card. This view helps you see:

* Which contacts are active
* What signals each contact generated
* How many signals the contact has
* Which company the contact belongs to
* Whether the contact matches your personas
* Whether the contact's company matches your ICPs
* Whether the contact should be added to a target list

See Website Signals for the full walkthrough, including how to use the filter builder.

## ICP evaluation

1eyeᴬᴵ evaluates the companies behind your signals against the ICPs in your Knowledge Base. When a company matches an ICP, 1eyeᴬᴵ shows an ICP badge on the contact's card so your team understands why the account may be relevant.

Use ICP evaluation to: focus on high-fit companies; reduce noisy activity; build better target lists; prioritize accounts before reaching out.

## Persona evaluation

1eyeᴬᴵ evaluates contact signals against the personas in your Knowledge Base. When a contact matches a persona, 1eyeᴬᴵ shows a persona badge on their card so your team understands why the person may be relevant.

Use persona evaluation to: focus on relevant buyers; reduce noisy contact activity; build better target lists; prioritize contacts before outreach.

## Search, filter, sort, and export

Signals include tools to help your team find the right activity quickly.

* **Search** — Use search to find a contact, company, domain, or keyword.
* **Filter** — Website Signals uses a query builder. Build one or more `Where [field] [operator] [value]` conditions — using fields like Contact, ICP, Persona, Location, Type, Date, and Target page — and chain them together with AND / OR to narrow the list precisely.
* **Sort** — Use sort to prioritize signals by recency, signal count, or other available fields.
* **Export CSV** — Use Export to download the current signal view for review, reporting, or list-building.

## How to use Signals

Use Signals as the starting point for GTM action.

1. Review active contacts in Website Signals
2. Check ICP and persona matches
3. Build a filter query to focus on the most relevant activity
4. Add matched contacts to a target list
5. Push the target list to HubSpot or Salesforce through Destinations
6. Follow up based on signal activity

## Best practices

* **Start with Website Signals** — Review active contacts first so you understand who's showing interest and at which companies.
* **Use ICP and persona filters** — Focus on contacts and companies that match your Knowledge Base.
* **Use Target Page filters for high-intent activity** — Filter by visit count and time spent on pages like pricing or demo to prioritize the strongest signals.
* **Export only after filtering** — Clean the view before downloading a CSV.
* **Act on recent signals first** — Fresh activity is usually more actionable than old activity.
* **Keep your Knowledge Base updated** — Better ICPs, personas, and exclusions create better signal quality.
* **Watch for Market Signals and Social Signals** — These are coming soon and will expand signal coverage beyond your website.
